This afternoon Joey was outside washing his car so Carlysle and I decided to join him. I set out a blanket and some toys in the front yard and we played while Daddy worked. Carlysle loves being outside. It's a great way to keep her entertained. She even took a nap on the blanket!
Here is a quick clip of Carlysle playing with her daddy and giggling. She had been giggling at him for several minutes before I got the camera out so I only caught the last of it. Joey and I will stand on our heads to get her to giggle. It's the sweetest sound that I've ever heard.
I tried to set up my own mini studio and take some pictures of Carlysle. It didn't really goes as planned (I now know why I am not a photographer) but I got a couple of good shots.
I know these are not what you would consider "professional shots" but for some reason sucking on her big toe was much more entertaining than posing for that pesky camera.
I promise as she gets older we will work on her....um....unlady-like manners when wearing a dress.
Here are some pictures from Carlysle's cousin's (John Andrew) christening. It was such a special ceremony and John Andrew did great....with water dumped on his head and all. His Mommy, Courtney, prepared an wonderful luncheon at their home for friends and family. It was such a beautiful day and we were all honored to be a part. Congratulations John Andrew!
I could kiss whoever invented this jumper. It's the kind that hangs in the doorway and lets the child just jump and spin around until her little heart's content. She absolutely loves it! And she will continue to jump even when she's not in it anymore which is even funnier to watch.
Lauren and Little D were able to come for a two week visit. Unfortunately, she had to make the rounds to other family members so I didn't get to see her as much as I would have liked but I'll take what I can get. We spent her last day here having lunch and taking Little D to Leaping Lizards on Forest Drive. For all of you with kids....it's a great place to let them get some energy out!
