Ok, so we didn't really give her coffee. Her highly excitable behavior is strictly related to being clothes free!!! Yes she does, in fact, enjoy being naked. Well, not completely naked......we had to put our foot down when it came to losing the diaper. We tried it once and we ended up with a naked little girl looking up at us with, albeit, a very cute grin..............and a puddle around her feet. So we have what we call "Diaper Time" every evening right after dinner until bathtime. All three of us look forward to this time because Carlysle becomes absolutely silly (or delirious) but it's hilarious to watch.
We took our first trip to Chuch E. Cheese with Kyle, Sara, Gavin and Madison. I thought Carlysle was going to freak at all the chaos (we went on a Friday night) but she loved it. She kept trying to run up to the stage to look at "the band". We took her over to her first ride and I really thought she was going to cling to me.....nope. She just started laughing!! And then pitched a fit when we took her off of it. She can be so funny sometimes. As shy and cautious as she is about people..........she's a daredevil at the same time! If somebody walks in the room that she doesn't recognize, she will immediately start crying. But she loves to climb as high as she can get, she loves to be thrown in the air, when she swings she wants to go as high as you can get her and she will always try to get down from somewhere by herself....no matter how high (which is why we had the "Barnes and Noble" incident).
These are some pictures of Carlysle dressed to go outside. I'm sure it's understood that it was probably about 60 degrees that day. But in South Carolina.....that's cold and it's your only chance to wear your winter coat and cute hat. Now if it's 60 degrees in April......whole different story. Then you will find every high school and college girl in their bathing suits laying out in their front yards.
We stayed at my parents house for the weekend, along with our friends, Kyle and Sara and their two children. The kids had a ball playing on the golf course while the adults talked business (more about that later). Here are some pictures of the kids playing....
This is Carlysle and Gavin sitting in little TV chairs in my Mom's playroom watching "The Jungle Book". They looked so cute sitting there next to each other that I had to take pictures. I really sense a romance blossoming but.........Shhhh, we can't say that around her Daddy.
Mimi and Papa Joe gave Carlysle this adorable polka-dot table and chairs for Christmas. She loves sitting at the table and reading her books. We also been having "snack" at her little table. She really does look cute but it breaks my heart a little because she looks like such a big girl sitting there.
Don't worry I didn't put the table and chairs beside any display cases of books.....wait a minute yes I did. That was the only place in her room I could find and I've been trying to keep an eye on her when she's sitting there. Yeah, we're probably going to see another Barnes and Noble horror story soon. If so.....I really hope it's when Joey is "on duty".
